Traveling with your pet

Traveling with your pet can be fun if your take some simple steps to enhance the trip.

There are some pet friendly hotels and motels, but check out which one you wish to stay at before your just drive in and see if they are pet friendly. Doing it this way may take quite some time, and driving around before you find one.

Some hotels and motels may have a size or number restriction on pets. There may be an extra charge for multiple pets, and some only allow small animals. It is best to call ahead whenever possible so there is no problem when you arrive to check in. Having puppy pads or a litter box in the room is a good thing to have handy.

When packing for the trip, don’t forget to pack for your pet also. They will need food, water, any medications, and a favorite toy if they have one.

Traveling with your pet can be fun for all by taking the time to pack right and check out accommodations before you leave home for the family and the family pet. You may have to stop and let your pet go potty along the drive and give them water if they need it. Do not let them get the pet bother the driver, and if possible seatbelt them in to keep them safe in case of an accident.

Traveling and seeing the country is fun, and it can be fun for the pet also by taking some simple steps to insure that every goes well for all.
